My husband was always traveling from Monday to Friday. Then he was severely injured and has been home for the last 5 years. I never thought anything good could come out of such a tragedy, but I realized that his being home benefited our son greatly. Although he was in pain for a long time and couldn't do much, during the times he was lucid he had involved discussions with and taught our son so many things he probably wouldn't have learned otherwise. They are closer than I ever imagined; and they were close before the event.
