What is reality? What is consciousness? A collapsed wavicle as some quantum physics suggest? What's your take?

I dunno about the quantum-level physics, but I suspect that the pre-existing Consciousness is the source of the physical universe in some sense. There are experiments that show that the observation of (consciousness of) an experiment can affect the outcome. And there's evidence down thru the ages that when people are truly conscious that they can affect the physical world.

I don't have a plausible answer, but there is a character in Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagoner's play "Search for Signs of Intelligent Life," who said: "What is reality anyway? Nothing but a collective hunch. Personally, I think it was a system of crowd control that got out of hand." Gotta love it:)
