The fact that we have the intelligence to find ways to minimize their numbers and the fact that many of them have animals and other bugs as their natural enemies.
They are also driven by instinct and hunger and do not have actual intelligence.
They ain't got no opposable thumbs. It's all in the thumbs.
They (and every other organism) are concerned with survival, not power. We are the only idiots that would care to control the entire planet.
