This method may work try it if you still havent. Resetup everything Reinstall all graphics software and drivers . Most importantly try remembring what you did last time. Its not easy to understand what type of setup you have on the net but dosent matter

When you umplugged the monitors, you may have loosened the video card. Also, if they were different resolutions and the monitors were only capable of the resolution they were each set at, switch the cables around. If the system is not seeing the dual monitor option, then the card is not seeded properly.

Considering the number of times I've shaken my video card loose when moving my system or diddling with my monitor, I would start by re-seating the video card. You might also want to double-check your cables. I've muffed that up before.
