Why is the interpretive style of so many contemporary female vocalists to sing every song as if they're reaching for orgasm?

It is horrible - it seems that female vocalists have gone down the same mediocre toilet as the rest of popular music.

I have no answer to the Plague of Orgasmic Singing - - the more you orgasm, the more you don't need to sing ? - - but most present popular singers need to be forced to listen to Patsy Cline, one of the clearest, hit-the-damn-note-directly voices ever. Heaven on earth. [ But, in my opinion, those other singers are orgasmic to hide the fact they don't have a truly great voice like Patsy did. ]

Yeah, but I think it sounds good most of the time. Like Pink Floyd's 'The Great Gig in the Sky' Orgasms are great. Music is great. Makes sense.. :)

They can't ACTUALLY sing, so they have to sell themselves as musical prostitutes. And so, for your listening enjoyment, here is a live performance of a woman who needs not the cheap tricks of "orgasmic singing"

You say that like its a bad thing...does your wife sing in bed? ;) jk Its because they want to show some emotion, and get alittle to theatrical with it? Otherwise, most women might be orgasming every time the radios on...
