  • Go to your local Domino's Pizza and ask there. As old as it is, the driver's probably won't know, but the manager probably will. I know that sounds like a stupid, nonsensical answer. It isn't. I've been a Domino's driver. We had to drive our own car. Delivery driving is hell on a car. There probably isn't anything harder on a car. I doubt even taxis have it as tough. Those drivers who had tough, reliable cars made money. Those whose cars were unreliable barely broke even. Everyone in the store knew which drivers were always broke down and which were always there. Unfortunately, I quit driving long before 1997, so I can't tell you much. I know my husband had a 1990 Mazda truck, which had a really good engine and transmission and a so-so body. But there is enough difference in time that it is unlikely that our truck had the same engine as the car you are considering.
