Detroit 60 series in a freightliner wont start. i had to replace the motor due to a thrown rod. after i installed the new motor it will not start only runs on either. swaped all old sensors from original motor it gets power to injectors but wont run HELP!

sounds like its out of fuel, or it is not getting fuel. have someone check to see if there is air in the fuel lines. other than that, I don't know. sounds like a fuel problem.

Take off the fuel hose that goes from the pump to the second filter (at the filter side)jump start the solenoid at the starter make sure fuel is coming out of that hose,if not look inside the tanks pickup could be blocked. chek the return line at the back of the motor there is a R80 fitting then a check valve make sure it is not plugged if that valve gets plugged you loose prime and it will not start .make sure the ddec has power to it at least 10volts under 10 will not start. there is a 20 amp fuse at the battery box that powers the ecm make sure fuse is good.chek grounds for ecm.
