not at all, and even what science does know today, can be revised or contradicted or added to tomorrow. :-)
-
No. There are many things that require faith, religion being the obvious one. Just because science does not have the tools or insight to explain everything, does not mean that the inexplicable things do not exist, or aren't meaningless, or aren't useful.
-
Of course not. There are some things that science has not yet solved, and probably many which it cannot solve. It is still by far the best paradigm out there though. If you disagree, ask yourself if your preferred system can build a working computer.
-
Depends on what you need explained
-
I am a scientist and I am going to have to say No. There are somethings that are not for us to explain or discover they just are!
-
of course not. there are just some things that can't be explained
-
Yes, I believe science can explain everything, even though it hasn't yet.
-
No Taking history as an example, our understanding of everything is constantly advancing, thanks to science. I have no reason to believe this will ever end. But there are an infinite amount of things to be explained.
-
Science has explained everything that we know. At this time in history, there are many realms still that are beyond our knowledge and thus beyond science, but that doesn't mean scientific breakthroughs will never be able to explain them.
-
Almost, many physicists are currently working on the theory of everything. it involves explaining all the forces of the universe in quantum theory. electro-magnetism, high energy and low energy radiation, and gravity. the only one that scientist can't explain through quantum theory is gravity. If scientists do figure it out one day, they will be able to explain, the big bang theory completely, what caused it, how something can be created from nothing. where dna came from, whats on the other side of a black whole, maybe even ghosts and stuff, other dimensions, time travel. the list goes on. i don't know how close science is or if the theory will be able to explain absolutely everything.
-
Theoretically, science can explain everything. It's all a matter of the scientist's ability to explain everything. I doubt that humans will even explain half of everything before we are destroyed in one way or another.
-
Somethings cannot be measured scientifically. I think we will try, and we do try. But as someone else stated, there are too many things that need explanation, we just won't get to them all. If you are also a religious person, you cannot scientifically explain many faith related claims.

Have you ever seen the Cheeze It commercials? The little girl says she knows how so much cheese is put into the cracker. Then, the commercial shows a cracker being put in the road and a steam roller with cheese on it rolls over it cramming it with cheese. Well, science is like that. Someone comes up with an idea, develops a hypothesis, then a theory. He may or may not be able to test that theory. Either way, if no one proves it wrong, and enough people accept it as true; then, it will eventually be accepted as fact until disproved. So, theoretically, anything can be explained by science. It does not mean that the explanation is right.
-
No. Man will always be limited by the capacity of his mind and his scientific tools. Not to mention that scientific research cost money and no one is going to give unlimited amounts of money for "pure research". Governments want something for their money. Usually a better weapon than anyone else has. Corporations want something that will make them a great deal of money.

Science does not pretend, or try, to explain everything. It is like a known country surrounded by unexplored territory. Science is always exploring, pushing out the edges of the explored area. But it doesn't know how much unexplored territory there is out there. Science only knows what it knows, not what it doesn't know, And one thing Science doesn't know is how much ignorance there is out there to explore.
-
It can never explain faith...
-
no
-
no i dont think so. They always have to add in stuff like the "missing link" I think faith is needed
-
Science is Knowledge. However, they can't explain the miracles that occur.
