I'm usually a suffer in silence sort of person. Though I probably curse loudly at the moment when the pain is caused.

I keep it to myself but don't like to be around people while I'm in pain. Not good.

    No, I'm a silent sufferer.
    If it's only a slight pain, I usually say a few words I shouldn't.

No, if it gets really bad to the point where I can't simply control it, I generally resort to cussing! : D

No, I don't understand the compulsion to scream. All it does is tense the body, and in many cases, that will make the pain worse. I will get real quiet, close my eyes and experience it.

No, I have the survival instincts of a small prey animal and generally try to hide my pain; also I freeze when I'm terrified.

It's different when we're talking about chronic pain when I'm alone with my wife, though: then I'm a whiner.

No, i don't think anyone does. In the movies they do which is kind of stupid. Normally shouting just takes up a bunch of energy. i just bite really hard and squeeze something and hold my breath.

Hell yes! There are exceptions. If I know it's coming, like a shot, or piercing I don't shout, just grimace. Now for a tattoo, no matter how bad it hurts I try to look as though I am having noon tea or something haha.

I really do not feel the need to express my fain with facial expressions or comments. I remember when I was fifteen, I broke my arm while playing football and I did not cry or scream, but remained motionless and calm. Sometimes, it scares me for not crying out in pain, for it shows that I do not care much for my own personal health.

Not if it is an ongoing pain. Those sudden ones, though, like getting hit in the shin with a bat, will bring a noise that might be called a shout.

I try not to, but if it's really bad I just can't control it! My daughter heard me giving birth to my son from the waiting room, LOL! She told me for a long time she was never having children!
