There are very few actors today that could stand alongside the great actors of past...Most movie stars today get in the business to become famous unlike the greats of the past who did it for the love of it... So here is my very small list of actors that can stand next to those greats...I have my own factors that go into picking these people like intelligence, body of work, how they conduct themselves in public, if they try and live a private life or go out and look for a way to become news and just that all around aura that surrounds a great actor... George Clooney, Clint Eastwood, Robert Duvall,Jack Nicholson, Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Dustin Hoffman, Sean Penn, Denzel Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Daniel Day-Lewis, Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Ben Kingsley, Benicio Del Toro, Ian McKellen, Heath Ledger, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and many others as far as male actors go but that should do for now, so here is my female list..Meryl Streep, Jessica Lange, Cate Blanchett, Diane Keaton, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren, Sissy Spacek, Judi Dench, Tilda Swinton, Helena Bonham Carter and a lot of others but I think that is good enough...
