  • Well, if you look at it that way; then, more and more parents are failing.
  • Its the best life lesson a person could ever learn. It teaches them selflessness, compassion, love, joy, and appriciation. It helps you be silly, and out going... You laugh and sing songs... and youll understand how free and caring kiddos are...and why that is?? There only itty bitty, but it seems like they know something we dont...or have forgotten. and you gain alittle bit of that back.
  • It SHOULD be...
  • No, it's the highest form of vanity/arrogance. People arbitrarily deciding they are worthy of propagating their DNA. While some people are indeed exceptional, most are not and are making a mess of the world.
  • No.. not really - parents choose to have children. Many others do not have that choice. And many more cannot fall into parenthood accidentally - hardly a selfless act to get roaring drunk, sleep with whoever is around and then become a parent
  • It is...for a while .. then as they grow up, you find you get more selfish wanting time alone lol
  • Found to be unstable after stardom
  • I don't think so. Most people choose to be parents. And the lengths some go to have kids is very selfish. As for actual parenting. You give up a lot, that can be considered selfless, but most people wanted to be in that position.
  • Not everytime.Sometimes it's an investment for a secure future, sans headache.
  • It's a dual sword selflessness and selfishness
  • Parenting is not for everyone. Some parents conception is to raise kids so they can take care of them when they get old. That sounds more like a business deal to me. Some parents have kids so they can control everything it that kids life and to jump when they say jump. These type should have raised dogs, they love to be trained and please people. Then they are the parents who expect nothing in return and want there kids a chance at a good education and life.
  • For me, it was the greatest joy I ever experienced. I consider myself very lucky to have my children.
