I generally find the atmosphere here to be friendly and helping, but I am aggravated by people who ask questions when they know the answer. This seems like a self-esteem boost for the questioner and a waste of time for the answerer.

The majority of them are nice. There are a couple of jerks, but you get that in any crowd.

Some of them yes and some of them not just no, but hell no. I avoid the ones I am not fond of to keep the peace though. Having said that, I do like the majority of people here. It is rare that I run across somebody I thoroughly dislike.

Yes. For the most part I like the people here. Even when my ego gets in the way I still rate most people well if they give good answers. A difference of opinion is no reason to hold a grudge.

I do like most people here. There's always someone who likes to cause trouble or just be ugly. I just avoid those users. But for the most part, it's been a very nice place to meet a few friends. :)

Surprisingly, I find quite a few likable people here. Granted, there are a few a-holes as well, but that happens everywhere.

yes and no. when i first joined AB, i was greeted warmly by a select few..after getting used to AB, i was able to make friendly contact through "comments" and yes, ive even met some users whom put me right off. on yahoo Q&A, i was not greeted with any respect. iam beginning to see myself as a dedicated answerbagger. i like the "comments" you give to answers, its a nice way to "chat it up"

On the whole, yes. I have had various brushes with people who ruffled my feathers (and my ego) minimally, but nothing compared to some of the cruelty I've seen inflicted upon some other ABers. I've been relatively lucky.

I guess it depends. We have a good mix of people who are really smart, really insane, assholish, some clueless, and many who are very sweet.
