It may and it may not, people are different, For me, even though I love children, I feel different with mine, nothing like having to deal and play with your own creations, the feelings are awesome.

The reason I ask this is because I thought that way. Now I regret it very much when I see people my age with grandkids. When I got divorced I lost the stepkids, even though we were very close. I'm close to my nieces and nephews but not as close as I would like. I just think people who feel this way should think about it

There is nothing like having your own child, that being said, the other children in your life can be just as fufilling for you, if make an effort to be in their lives. I love children, mine and everyone else, I firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, it isnt just the parents that are involved in a childs life, there are other people in their lives that are just as important to them.
