    Baseball is the national sport but I think Football has taken over since the strike a few years ago.

    Football is far more popular then baseball in the US. Although baseball has a lot more history here.

    All that stuff about baseball being America's pass time, I think that went out the window in the late 90s. Football is no doubt more popular. All you really need to play is a ball, unless it's contact, and isn't the superbowl one of the most watched TV events of the year?
