If history is any guide, then yes. Various nations have risen to superpower status, but none has ever held that position eternally. History seems to suggest also that the sure way to unravel your superpower status is to try to dominate the rest of the world with it. It would be interesting to see how long the US can remain a world leader if we choose to stop pushing hegemony.
