Neue Galerie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Neue Galerie New York (German: "New Gallery") is a museum of early twentieth-century German and Austrian art and design located at 86th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City. It is one of the most recent additions to New York City's famed Museum Mile, which runs from 83rd to 105th streets on Fifth Avenue in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The museum was first conceived by two close friends, museum administrator and art dealer Serge Sabarsky and entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald S. Lauder. They met in 1967, just before Sabarsky opened his first gallery. The Serge Sabarsky Gallery opened at 987 Madison Avenue in 1968, and almost immediately earned a reputation as New York’s leading gallery for Austrian and German Expressionist art. Lauder was a frequent visitor and client. Both Sabarsky and Lauder enjoyed a passionate commitment to the art of this period, and they dreamed of someday opening a museum space to showcase the very best of this work. When Sabarsky died in 1996, Lauder chose to carry on the task of creating Neue Galerie New York, as a tribute to his friend.
The Natural History Museum in London.
it is small compared the the museum that everyone knows in Paris, but I like the Musée d'Orsay or the Uffizi in Florence. But it all depends on what kind of art I am into at the time too
I love all museums, specially the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Vatican Museum and The State Hermitage Museum and Palaces in Saint Petersburg Russia.
I have only been to 23 countries. In traveling overseas my itinerary had not included many visits to museums. So the National Museum of my country is still my current favorite.
Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, Shaanxi Province, China
the louvre.
Natural History London.
Victoria and Albert London
Louvre Paris
The Shanghai Museum...absolutely state-of-the-art.
Changes from day to day. Today: Museum Insel Hombroich (www.inselhombroich.de). Website is in German only, but the museum is beautifully located and integrates nature and art (from archaic to contemporary in very beautiful juxtapositions).
It has to be the Victoria and Albert in England or the Louvre in Paris.
I love museums! Ok, here are three of many:
-- Victoria & Albert Museum - London, England

-- Rijksmuseum - Amsterdam, Netherlands

-- Anne Frank House - Amsterdam, Netherlands

i like the museum they have showcased in the movie Night at the Museum .....i would just to love to stay there as i loved the movie ....and the concept was out of the box like all the exhibits coming alive in the night
The d'Orsay in Paris wins, but the Prado in Madrid is a close second.
I like the Natural History Museum in London. I cannot rate any US Museum as I've never been.
i liked the one in the movie Night at the Museum and would love staying there
georges pompidou in paris-- so interactive and awesome (it's the paris modern art museum.. probably the ugliest building in paris, but amazing. also very cool bar on the top floor and cinemas in the basement with amazing films)
