He should only run as a democrat so that he can get in on some of the debates. Although, I doubt that Hitlary's people will let him in on any debates. He'd ask too many questions that she couldn't answer.

Please restate your question so that it makes sense.

G'day Ron4540, Thank you for your question. Is Nader a Democrat? It seems that he is too far left for that. I couldn't see him winning the nomination so he would end up standing as a Green or independent if he wanted to stand. I think Nader's time as a candidate has probably come and gone. He is 73 in 27 February and will be 74 next year. If elected, he would be the oldest person to be elected President for the first time at nearly 75 and would be nearly 79 at the end of his first term. I don't think that he should run. I don't think he represents the democratic party (even if they were to let him in)... He is against much of what both Republican and Democrats stand for...

no, but the mainstream media needs to allow him and other third party candidates into the debates.

(http://www.votenader.org/) Wow...as a non-American it is amazing to look at the US from the outside and see how many people inside the US are completely oblivious to the fact that Ralph Nader is running for US President in 2008. There is no "if" about it. He is the candidate for the Independent, Peace and Freedom Party. He long ago made his decision about running as a Democrat or not so it is a bit late to be asking this question now.

Ralph's main challenge is in getting TV time. He is left of the Democrats, but running as a democrat would get him more media coverage, access to the debates, and possibly more supporters. I think that Ralph's platform is top-notch, but the system is rigged against third-party candidates.
