They probably stopped production of those shows. Things do get old after some time.

Sci Fi on the whole tends to look at the bigger questions: how societies succeed or fail, how history is made by individuals & their quirks (for better or for worse), and not the other way around. Sci Fi is still around; not all of it is as challenging as Twilight Zone, but keep your eyes open for the parts that are.
