The sobbing began when I read the book and continued through the film;)
-
Yes. I saw it in the theater with my husband. Stupid me wore mascara and eyeliner (that wasn't waterproof). Upon exiting the theater, I looked like I'd been run over by a train.
-
I've not seen it... I wanted to, and then I read that it isn't really a true story, and I hate when films are part truth and part fiction. I get confused. My little mind can't cope! It does look great though!

I cried, My 16 yr old son cried, my daughter (14) cried and my big tough solider boyfriend cried too (glad I watched it at home)
-
I've had movies like that but I haven't seen "The Notebook" yet - but I cry like a baby over sappy commercials too, so it's just me :D
-
It really is not true.
-
OK, I'm a dude, and I have to admit, I broke down only once.
-
No. I saw the movie. From comments here and from outside -of-computer-land, so many have the same reaction. I was OK with the movie -- I don't remember long periods of wet eyes or crying. But I enjoyed the movie a lot. I'm biased - to me , the emotions are glued to Gena Rowlands giving an as-usual phenomenal performance. I enjoyed this question and reading others' answers. All were helpful.

I've never seen that movie yet, but I've seen some that made me cry as well.. Romance and others. I'm a sentimental sucker I guess :) lol

Yes, that is actually the last movie that made me cry.
-
"The Notebook" is an excellent film. "The Notebook" is powerful. I cried. More than once. Nothing else is possible with this film. I'm glad the film was made.
-
Oh yeah...it's incredibly powerful, especially knowing people who suffer from dementia and alzheimers and watching the families deal with it.
-
Yes it made me cry. It was a very powerful film.
-
