Could you answer two questions for me? Do you only feed them wheat bran? Would Oats be ok too?
If they need to stay at 80 degrees temp, where is the best place to keep them?

Chinchilla, is this the type of pet you have? Go to a a chain pet store like Petsmark, or a pet store, even if your not supposed to have the animal they will generally provide you with the information you need to maintain it. If your talking about a lizard purchase lights, the lights can say how much heat they can generate.

Are you talking Bearded Lizard? Or some other creature? If it's a bearded, the wheat bran isn't for eating, it's for substrate, or bedding. Some people like it because it's safe if he eats it and it doesn't compact. If you are talking chinchillas, then you should be feeding it chinchilla pellets and you can make your own supplement with many grains all together like rolled oats, barley, wheat, wheat germ, flaxseed and wheat bran. But ti's only a supplement, not it's only food. If it's some other animal, let us know.
