(smile) Maybe, once, but I always check the time zones, now. I was in the military and it was sort of ingrained. You never think of time in the same way again.

I have not, but my son is notorious for this. He is in Japan right now and he is constantly calling me between 1 and 4 am. He always asks when I answer the phone "Whatcha doing"?....Uh, Sleeping...."Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot what time it is there".....Oh well, always good to hear his voice and know that he is safe.

I've noticed here in Oregon that everyone on the East Coast doesn't remember such.

I've slipped up a time or two. It's harder every day as more and more area codes are added to accommodate cell phones and hand held devices. Once upon a time, I knew from the area code what time zone most numbers were in. I can't keep up any more.

No, I check the address and know how to tell time.

Nope. International is another story.

It's such an easy mistake to make. I live in Washington, D.C. and used to work for a Congressman from California. One night I was working late. It was about 9PM and I got a phone call from a constituent who wanted to speak to one of my colleagues. When I said that she'd left for the day, he said, "Must be nice to keep bankers' hours." I said, "Well, remember that it's after 9 o'clock here." And he said, "Oh, sorry." And then when I made my first trip to California with this job, I turned right around and woke my parents up at 1AM because I forgot that Louisiana was two hours ahead of California. LOL.
