  • If it stops them from irritating the hell out of everyone in the restaurant, I'd go for it.
  • I would say no, but then I have an issue with eating in front of the tv. I personally would not want to sit next to someone like that and try to talk over their movie. Why not just leave the kids with a babysitter.
  • Sure! As long as its your restaurant! (If not, as long as you don't turn it on---don't want to know how you'll be "entertaining the kids" with it then, though...)
  • No, it's not appropriate...If you plan on sitting down at a table to eat whether it be at home or a restaurant spend that time talking with your kids even if they are at a young age you can satisfy their need for entertainment through conversation... By allowing them to watch a dvd during a meal even at a restaurant is teaching them that passive entertainment allows growth of the mind thus cutting out the other true meaning of sitting down to a meal, Family interaction...
  • No, I don't think it's appropriate. You should spend the time doing something interactive with your kids like coloring together or playing a rhyming game if they need to be entertained.
  • no your better off not taking the kids period
  • I just wanted to add that I understand why you are asking this question, it is very difficult at times getting the family to stay focused especially if they are young kids you are dealing with, it seems as though many are born with ADD these days and who knows why this has happened, I was born with it and my son was born with it just like the many of thousands upon thousands out there that have it, I'm not saying your children have it, I'm not doctor but I am saying I understand why you might want to do this, it seems like an easy step towards a small piece of mind brought on by quite and peace if only for a short while...
  • No! Require that they be present in the moment when they are taken out to dinner. This means sitting at the table, exhibiting decent table manners and interacting with those around them.
