if a reltionship is based on wether you can learn to like a cat, then maybe that relationship isnt for you. There are plenty of people out there without cats.

This is an excellent opportunity to embrace this "insurmountable" problem with just changing your attitude. How much power can a little cat have over you? How about just tolerating the poor thing.

It's possible to learn to like something if you can find a way of making it interesting. Why not read up on cats and in the process you might get to the bottom of why you and the cat don't get along.

My husband isn't fond of cats, but he let me get one as a wedding present. He knows how much I enjoy having my little feline friends in my life. I know he would never leave me just because I got a cat, but I would never have brought a cat into the house if I knew it would cause a lot of relationship problems.

Don't lie to "save" a relationship. What kind of evil person are you with anyway that values the cat more than you? I say you compromise. You will love and cherish the cat so long it goes to the shelter.

It's not so much YOU liking the cat, it's the CAT liking YOU. Be nice and respect it like an IN-LAW. Be a flower and DRAW IN the bee!
