I don't, but if I have it, I'll give. That way there aren't any strings.
-
terrible.. all about money always end badly.
-
I don't. Plain and simple.
-
I really don't think it's a good idea, unless your friend is like a brother to you and you don't become to attached to money. that's beside the point though, if I were to loan, let's say...$1000 to him or her, then ya I would be expecting some pay! But maybe like fifty bucks, to a hundred bucks..then ya that's cool. but people have different opinions about the money subject.
-
I only have friends that never ask or expect but - and please do not tell this around I would and have when needed. I have got burned and I have not; either way the sun rose the next day and maybe I had a better friend and maybe I had less of a friend. +5
-
sure maybe 20 bucks is fine...anything more....don't
-
Depends on the friend and how much (and what they need it for). If it's someone I can trust, and it won't put me in a bind, and it's not for something like drugs, I will do it.
-
When I loan money to a friend, I make it a rule to regard it as a gift. That way, if they pay me back, great. If not, eh. Live and learn.
-
I don't have a problem with it, assuming I have the money for it, but I haven't been doing it because I couldn't afford it.
-
You know what they say... Want to loose a friend? lend them money. I think you have to very careful as to who and how much. It's a combination only you know. If i was to collect all of my friends loans, i would collect over 1k easily.
-
did it and its not a good idea things like that make the best of friends enemies!
-
..if they are in need and I have what they need, I will.
-
That's a good way to ruin a friendship. Friends and family don't seem obligated to pay back money they owe you, and it causes strife and puts wedges in the relationship.
-
I loan if they need it, or more accurately, I give it with the understanding that if they can pay me back some time, they will. But I'm ready to lose it if they can't. All of them have paid me back. I've got great friends and if they need help, I'm there, just as they have been there for us.
-
I don't loan money any more. They never gave it back.
-
I hate to play the "grammar police," but the word is "lending," not "loaning." I'll lend money to a friend if they really need it, and I will NOT expect to get it back, if I do, it's a pleasant surprise.
-
If you lend someone twenty dollars and then never see them again, it is the best twenty you have ever spent.
-
I only loaned money once to someone I trusted and knew would keep good on the promise to repay me.
-
Only give if you don't expect to get it back.
-
If I borrow money, I try to pay every cent. I really don't care about money, comes and goes, but some people do. It's best to keep counts clear.
-
If you want to break relationship give loan to your friend. Then you got 75% chances to break the relation.
-
If I have it I just give it to them, If I don't I'll say I don't have it. I basically tell to just take it. I don't expect it back. That way if I don't there are no issues between us. I do try to avoid large sums though because either way that could cause problems on both sides.
-
loan money is not always good but it is big help to start business to get loan from bank
-
A few bucks sure, a large amount no. :)
-
i give back whatever money i borrow and expect the same of those i lend it to. and that's only to my well TRUSTED friends
-
it is not a good behaviour to loaning money to friend. but sometimes importance.
-
sometimes good but many times bad effect to loaing money to friends
-
If your going to loan them money dont expect to get it back, dont loan it give it to them and let them know you would appreciate it if they could eventually pay you back. If you loan money to friends and view this any other way, you may be headed to break up a friendship. On the other hand if you cant afford to loan them money let them know this as well.
-
You should never lend money to friends or family because in most cases they won't pay you back. Retired bill collector 35 years

I have never considered myself to be a bank. All my friends understand this........... They are not the police and i am not a loan officer. Its bad business and a friendship can be destroyed over ten dollars. Been there. done that.
-
It's a bad practice.
-
A big NO NO unless its like 5 or 10 bucks.
-
If I have it, I give it, no questions asked. I don't expect nor particuarly want it back. I look at it as a gift so that it won't become an issue if my friend does not pay it back. I am happy to share what I have with friends, and my friends have always been good enough to insist on paying it straight back.
-
I never lend money I cannot afford to lose. I lend with the thought in mind that if they can and do repay, that's great, but if they cannot, so be it.
-
If it is a large amount, get it in writing, just like anything else. If it is a few bucks, don't expect it back, that whay if you do, you win, and if you don't, you just helped out a friend.
-
pay it back when you can. no pressure. only really close friends need apply:)
-
Don't. You can wind up losing your money and a friendship.
