In my spare time I'm the webmaster for our local community website, and I am a volunteer tutor of English for speakers of other languages; I have two pupils, one from Latvia and one from Poland. One of the benefits of retirement is that it gives you the chance to contribute to your community in ways that are impossible when you are occupied with a career, and it prevents me from getting bored.

I don't usually volunteer, but tomorrow (May 3rd) I'm going to the local park and I'm helping the park rangers plant trees. Then on May 15th my coworkers and I are going to be handing out food at a food shelter.

I used to volunteer to do some recreational fun stuff with old folks and some people with mental illness problems, and some foster kids. I used to help homeless folks get medical care, and now i help do fundraising for others to help homeless folks get medical care. I also help sometimes with free vision screenings, flu shots, blood sugar tests. I donate hair every few years too, to locks of love. I helped in a fundraising walk to raise money to cure alzheimer's, and i'll be doing another one for breast cancer soon. I have never donated blood though :^O. I also watch a lot of free porn on the internet, to make sure generic porn is up to acceptable standards for the poor people who cant afford paid, quality, brand name porn.
