I often go downtown to train the young hookers on the proper techniques of oral sex and intercourse. It's a thankless job, but somebodies got to do it.

I don't usually volunteer, but tomorrow (May 3rd) I'm going to the local park and I'm helping the park rangers plant trees. Then on May 15th my coworkers and I are going to be handing out food at a food shelter.

I am the vice-chairman of our community council, the lowest level of local government in Scotland, with no power: it advises the local council about community concerns and comments on local planning applications. I am the chairman of the local community association which organises things like the planting of flowers in public spaces in our village, provision of the village Christmas tree and lights, the employment of the village orderly who is employed part-time to tend footpaths and verges, and to remove litter. The community association raises funds for public amenities. Over the last two years we have raised £60,000 to refurbish a public playground for the children of the village. The work is almost completed and playground will be officially opened by the end of June; unofficially, children were playing on it this afternoon.

In my spare time I'm the webmaster for our local community website, and I am a volunteer tutor of English for speakers of other languages; I have two pupils, one from Latvia and one from Poland.

One of the benefits of retirement is that it gives you the chance to contribute to your community in ways that are impossible when you are occupied with a career, and it prevents me from getting bored.

I am the co-leader of a support group for people who have recently acquired disabilities. I rehabilitate old computers and give them to nonprofits as part of charitable geek organization. I am on a couple of nonprofit boards. I serve in a volunteer organization that helps individuals and organizations plan accessible buildings and public places.

Once a week I volunteer in an office that helps low income and homeless clients. I'm the receptionist there.

Once every other month I and a group of people from my church deliver food to low income/homeless people.

I used to volunteer to do some recreational fun stuff with old folks and some people with mental illness problems, and some foster kids. I used to help homeless folks get medical care, and now i help do fundraising for others to help homeless folks get medical care. I also help sometimes with free vision screenings, flu shots, blood sugar tests. I donate hair every few years too, to locks of love. I helped in a fundraising walk to raise money to cure alzheimer's, and i'll be doing another one for breast cancer soon.

I have never donated blood though :^O.

I also watch a lot of free porn on the internet, to make sure generic porn is up to acceptable standards for the poor people who cant afford paid, quality, brand name porn.

Currently, I volunteer a couple days a week doing pro-bono work for a Refugee organisation here in London.

My volunteer work has always been more focused on helping particular groups within the city/community, than general community focused.

Yes, absolutely! I help my neighbors in all kinds of ways. I also help people carry things, push a cart back inside, open doors, give directions, and speak to managers when I get decent service.
