Methodone is given to drug addicts from doctors to ease effect of withdrawl when they go into rehab. Mostly used for people who have a cocaine addiction and go through withdrawl. Edit: Just found out that methodone is used more for people who have heroine addictions rather than cocaine addictions, thanks to answerbagger JaiyneFortune.
