no. My father was one, and, as a precious little early teenager, I took him on when I found one of their magazines beside his bed. It read that if someone revealed the secrets of the masons to an outsider, that they should be hanged, drawn and quartered (it was described in detail). I confronted him and asked him why he belonged to an organisation that taught this. He said I should not have read it, to which I replied: then don't leave it lying round. You know I read anything.
He left soon after. I think it got to him.
The Freemasons are a strange group, very gnostic in teaching, whose beliefs are built on fables (that they are descended from the builders of Solomon's temple) and who control by secretism. ANy organisation that encourages secret initiation ceremonies has to be suspect, would you not say. And as for the secret handshakes that win you business deals....hmmm. not on.

No! Val I know you are a Christian and what they stand for is the complete opposite of what you stand for, once you get beneath the shiny happy surface. Go to You tube and watch the series of videos Riddles in Stone by Chris Pinto, it'll really open your eyes!

Let's get one thing straight - no one needs to wait to be asked.

If anyone (man or woman, because contrary to the common misconception that women can't become Masons they can and have been for over a 100 years) wishes to become a Freemason then they simply need to contact either their nearest lodge or even send an email to whichever GL/Obedience they're interested in joining.

People should only ask if they are serious about joining and if they wish to do so for the right reasons. You cannot be a Freemason if you are racist or have murderous or criminal intent. Also those wishing to join for social networking, furthering their career opportunities, etc… will soon be very disappointed and leave.

Freemason's will do away with religions in the near future, they will unite all religions through economics as they pretty much own the world in this area. They control majority of the seats in the UN and believe in a NEW WORLD ORDER.

    But

Daniel 2:44 says that God will do away with goverments and kings.

    If you want to, yes.

Among millions of Masons, not one was lawfully invited to apply for membership. Our code of conduct prevents it. Thus, no faithful Mason can invite you. Any Mason can obtain a Petition for the Degrees of Masonry for you, but you must ask for it, and for good reason.

You should ask yourself a few questions, Do you reflect on the nature of man's existence and your obligations to God, your family, and yourself? We want you to know what we believe, how we act, and what we do; then, should you ever become a Mason, you will be proud to be our Brother and excited to participate in our work. Only those who desire membership because of a favorable impression of us should seek a petition.

That's why you must "ask yourself." Are you ready to become a better man?

I don't believe half of what the conspiracy video's are publicisizing. I have thought long and hard about becoming a Freemason, Nearly for two years now waiting until i can answere yes to myself without hesitation, making sure i'm joining for the right reasons. For about three or four years now i've been intriguied with the study of esoteric symbolism, philosophy, and religious paralells. It's a society for universal brotherhood free of social status , race or creed. Embraces the expansion an liberation of intellect and consciousness through philosophic and symbolic rituals that have roots in some of the earliest systems of belief.

If you want to void the constitution for other americans, go for it. Leave religion out, you will be required to lie under oath (besides murder or treason) to protect a fellow mason. You will get the good jobs, and be promoted due to your membership. All the times youve said"why didnt he get in trouble? I dont remember reading about so n so who got in trouble. How did he get that job? Why was he promoted, so n so was more qualified. All those questions will be answered.
