If a shaman is partied with a fighter that uses footwork lure, and slides the enemy near the spirit, could the shaman take an opportunity action, to allow the spirit to use Spirit's Shield on the enemy?

    No. PHB pg 285 Forced Movement. It does not provoke opportunity attacks or other opportunity actions.

    If you wonder how often this power will be used, you're partly missing the point. Much like the fighter's Combat Challenge, simply the threat of it's possible use may change the enemies behavior. If the enemy shifts away instead of running around the battlefield at will, mission accomplished. Getting to actually use it is more fun perhaps, and occasionally the enemy will decide it's worth it and give you that chance. If you can find ways to persuade him that standing near your spirit is unhealthy, so much the better.
