  • PE Theory. Learning how to exercise. Oh yes, I have been exercising for YEARS, but now I am 16 obviously I have forgotten and now I have to find out. What a bloody waste of time. Music. I will never, ever need my skills in music, and I was forced to do it. Sex Ed. I was forced to do this, like we all were. To be honest I knew more than they ever taught us, plus it was just laughable most of the time
  • Many of my classes could have been replaced by more insightful classes, but compared to sitting around and answering questions on AB, all of my classes have been worth it. Even in my most boring classes (Art), I've learned plenty of random facts that could some day help me look wiser than I am.
  • Economics
  • Choir, Drama, and Physical Education.
  • Not many of them were a complete waste of time for the simple fact that they made college much easier, which is the idea I suppose. One problem I had was that I was put into advanced math and science courses very early- like in 8th grade. Then my 11th grade year I kind of slacked off and didn't bother with the super-advanced courses. By the time I was taking the classes in college I had forgotten a great deal of the information. Keep your math skills sharp and pay attention to your grammar and essay writing in literature classes. Those will prove to be very helpful in college. Many of the elective courses such as horticulture, drama, and art didn't necessarily prepare me for college, but they did come in useful for life skills. Drama made me a very convincing... um... liar- which comes in handy, to be honest. Music and art help you think in different and creative ways, so they are more important than you realize- real life demands resourcefulness. Now, if we are talking about the things that you will use in the real world then I have to admit I have never used anything more than basic math. History only comes in handy for Jeopardy and social conversation.
  • Badminton!! LOL it was a course in my Junior year at college that I suppose was helpful for a PE major (psychology was my major), although it did help my GPA since I aced it ...
  • My advisor advised me to sign up for Anthropology, because the prof was a wonderful speaker, but it turned out he wouldn't be there most of the time, and it was part 2 of the class and I shouldn't have been in it without having taken part 1, so I dropped it, and consequently I didn't have a full schedule.
  • Physics Lab - the instructor verbally abused me and made me cry, so i dropped the class
  • Geography. I do not want to learn about oxbow lakes or the composition of soils, which are dull dull dull dull dull
  • Comprehensive health. It's all common sense. I took it over this summer to get it out of the way before the upcoming year.
  • PE was a joke, our teacher was the most unfit man I've sighted in my life.... seriously. one very big guy. so we didn't do a lot, sure didn't learn anything that year. I transferred out before 2nd semester.
  • Home Economics. My Mom & Dad taught me all that stuff way before I got to that class.
  • Music and PE. Made to take both. And Honors English, doesn't teach you much more than normal English, but I had to read: The Hobbit - pretty good book - 74/D on the test 1/10/2008 Great Expectations - horrible book, I read the cliffs notes and burned the book 12/25/2008 - 72/D on the test (sheer luck) 1/14/2008 I Am The Cheese - good book - 69/F on the test. 1/29/2008 Alas, Babylon - great book - 90/B on the test. 4/24/2008 Siddhartha - okay book (would be much better if I read it now) - 76/C on the test. 5/2008 The bad part was not the reading, it was the tests that were obscenely hard. So hard, in fact, the teacher took one of tests himself and failed the test he made! Somehow I passed the class with an A. It was from January 7 - May 21, 2008 (dates may not be exact) Needless to say I got accustomed to hard work, and it was a nice teacher, and now I don't see it as as much of a waste of time, but during the time I took the class, I hated it. The class was significantly easier and more enjoyable after February 2008.
