  • It wouldn't bother me at all as I do what I want within the confines of the GOVERNMENT and LAW ..... not what the church orders ... they've screwed up enough .
  • "The" church. Huh. Well, if it would depend on which church. If it was mine (Methodist), I would be really, really upset. If it were any other Christian church, I would think that was stupid. If it were a Hindu temple or a Buddhist temple or a synagogue, I would feel like that was their business. I don't expect them to celebrate Easter any more than I expect them to celebrate Christmas.
  • It is actually a pagan festival blended with the memorial of Christ's death, which we should remember. So technically, it wouldn't bother me. The rabbit, and even the name Easter, are both pagan and are to do with Astarte, the fertility goddess. So Christ himself wouldn't like that people worship him by mixing a little paganism into their beliefs. I wouldn't be surprised. Jesus said to remember the night of his death, he didn't say anything about a weekend festival, where somehow rabbits and eggs were blended in, and especially would he not be happy to have the memorial of the evening meal changed to the name of a false god who is despicable before his father.
  • Easter is when the man comes out of the ground, and if he sees his shadow, it means that there are six more weeks of Winter. I don't see what that has to do with the church.
  • That the sevil had taken over that church. No matter what America comes to I will never deny God. I would die for my love of the Lord and it looks like that is what we will have to end up doing here in America.
