Help answer this question below.

We have a 2000 Silverado. Changed out the fuel filter still stalls. Old Filter was black. Any sugestions. Fuel pump is pretty expensive. Need help asap. Thanks

    If the fuel pump is the problem then it won't run for more than 5 seconds the first time, and then simply won't start after that. Sounds to me like an ignition problem. Do you simply fire it up and then it stalls? Do you drive it a while before it stalls? Do you rev it up?

    check fuel rail pressure, you can rent them at any autoparts store, plugs right into your fuel rail. if it idles fine when its cold but stalls when hot check oxygen sensors. I doubt its the fuel pump. Also any check engine lights....on need to find out. good luck
