It has been years since we've been out to a movie theater and we haven't even rented DVD's since we've been here in this house..November 2007. The movies we watch are usually on Cable TV. Neither of us can remember the last non-TV movie we saw...yes, it was that memorable! Happy Saturday! :)

I watched "I Am Legend" (2007) two nights ago. It was okay. The Special Effects were amazing but the story fell short of "The Omega Man" (1971), whose screenplay this movie was based on. Still better yet was the original "Last Man on Earth" (1964). The original book "I Am Legend" by Richard Matheson was the best of the bunch and the author co-wrote the screenplay for the Vincent Price movie. Charleton Heston went a bit over top top in his remake (although Anthony Zerbe was fantastic as Matthias). Will Smith did the best that he could with the current incarnation, however the obligatory "Hollywood" happy-ending ruined the whole point of the title. Hope this helps.
