Wow ... that's a great question Gene. Maybe because it's cool to rock out, and kind of dorky to roll out! (Reminds me of when my son was a baby ... instead of crawling ... he'd roll around. Down the hall ... stop at the end and roll back!!! I have to remind him of that!!! He'll so love to hear that AGAIN!! lol)

Rock & Roll music died in the late sixties with the birth of Metal music. Afterward, the evolved music was called "rock", "pop/rock", "pop" ... etc.
