Not really... more of an indication of what not to be like. Unless that is that rather than just not be like that, I do something pretty amazing out of just not wanting to be like that. Then I would say that their actions inspired me to do something amazing to show the difference

I would... my dad was an drug addict and alcoholic, and as a small kid I vowed to myself to never become anything like him, and especially the way he treated my mom. I consider him an inspiration for me to be a better person, I also saw him overcome all of this after he became a christian. But he still inspired me before that.

I guess you could say yes because there are many people I have seen that I don't want to be like, and it inspires to be more like the way I want me to be and not like them.

If they were intentionally being inspiring or trying to help me like a Teacher then Yes i would A lot of peoples Mentors do not want a student or young person to be like them but to aspire to be the best that they can in life.

I guess you can be negatively inspired, yes. My older sister's insistence that the world was supposed to revolve around her helped me to realize I wanted to be nothing like that. I usually think of "inspired" as meaning "motivated to ask in a positive manner", and in truth my sister did motivate me in that way, regardless of her intention!

You could probably say they were, but not as a result of their actions, more as a result of your own.
