The internet provider would consider it stealing. It is a service that is provided for a fee. Remember "stealing" TV cable service? You were not stealing from your neighbor, but you were utilizing a service for which you had not paid. Guess it boils down to ethics and morality even if you never get caught by the law.

It is stealing if they don't know it, but it's not like stealing a resource (using their water hose). The contract for my ISP states I can have up to three computers on my wireless network (they don't limit connections). So legally, I can have my computer online and resell the wireless connection to two other people.
