I don't know about the black marks, but mosquito bites are very dangerous. Mosquitoes carry malaria, West Nile virus, Dengue fever, Yellow fever, equine virus, encephalitis, and other nasty bugs. I used to think they were merely annoying but mosquitoes can be deadly. I hope you're doing all you can to prevent mosquito bites. Here are some links related to mosquito-borne diseases.
