  • I would imagine that time travel may well one day be possible. Quantum mechanics and further reading into various ideas about the subject, point to a possible time warp or travel. telephone calls across the time void would not be possible. Time is an equation like speed=distance over time, or time=distance over speed. But electrons can only travel at the speed of light and that leads me to think, that electrons would be unable to travel across because of the structure of them.
  • For me, it looks easier to just transmit information to the past (it must not be by means of a present technology like telephone) that to let someone travel into the past and make some interaction there. Here you can find a discussion about time travel: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_travel
  • Not if phones have not been invented yet.
  • If a person is able to travel back in time and return, then it seems likely that you can send a device which looks like a telephone, set to ring as soon as you enter the room, and deliver a prerecorded message. As to two way messages, going from the assumption that human return trip time travel is possible, then you can send a device which receives infomation, perhaps for arguments sake in the form of USB sticks, which get written and returned. As to whether this can be done fast enough to make a conversation, that would depend what the travel time is like!
