I wouldn't say it's a rip, but I generally keep all my games. Sometimes I like to go back and play old games, especially adventure/role-playing games with wide open universes. In games like Morrowind, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, etc. there's still so much to explore and do after you've "finished" the game.

They deserve to make a profit for the service they provide. Besides, it would be a waste if you just kept the games you no longer were interested in. Does the salvation army run a rip off if they sell your donations ?

I keep my games. It is a rip-off trading them in.

I never trade in my old games. I'll sometimes replay them, or I'll either loan or give them away to friend who wants to play them. I managed to get ahold of an original copy of Vagrant Story because of a friend of mine with the same attitude towards trade-ins. I'm still very grateful to him for it. Take care :)

it's a rip-off, but they do what they need to do.

I exchange them with others.

Hey, trading them in is more than I'd get for sitting on them, or selling them at a garage sale.
-
Why is trading them in a rip off? What else are you going to do with old games you're tired of playing? If anything I think buying them new in the first place is the rip off! HELLO?
