Sounds like a great idea...generic cling wrap at Big Lots is only a dollar.

you can use it over regular paper to give a glossy effect. it's also used over some gift baskets and things like that.

So the recipient can see the gift without having to open it.

Transparent gift wrapping paper is not actually to wrap gifts. It is used to wad up in poofs and stick in a gift bag as decoration, or to wrap around a gift basket to hold the contents in place. I think the true point of it is to make an easy profit off of those stupid enough to think they need it.
