I think men have stronger urges than women and men aren't able to control it as we do

It's an excuse for them to cheat and be promiscuous. If women followed the same logic, then the sh!t would hit the fan. For the record, I agree with you. Women definitely have urges.

i think it is a lame excuse we men tend to use

Yes, so do women have sexual needs and urges, some a little more so, some a little less, but in general very similar to men. Many men have problems of sexual compatibility after marriage that didn't exist in the dating and courtship phase and they have a hard time sorting out and understanding the problem. I do hate to be critical of my own gender but I think that's where the problem is and it eventually leads to cheating and divorce. Women are attracted to marriage for security, making a home, having a partner in starting a family, and even sometimes eventually "love" develops. Men, on the other hand, are attracted to marriage for the convenience of regular sex, having a partner to live with, and sometimes eventually "love" develops. The breakdown in these marriages always begins in the bedroom. Wives, having reached their goal of security/home/family will, without realizing what they are doing, engage in what I call "sex rationing" at a level far below what it was before, both in frequency and quality, leaving their husband to look other places to meet their sexual needs. There are exceptions and sometimes even the situation is reversed.
