Life is everything and all encompassing except the moment of death.

What exactly is life? When talking about a living organism it's not easy to define. You can have a dead person with cells still alive (important for organ transplants). You can have cells such as sperm or egg which are clearly alive but aren't persons (distinct "lives") yet and might never be. Many say life begins at conception but in cloning there is no conception involved, and identical twins can form up to 2 weeks after fertilisation yet they're different persons.

Your human body is here obviously not by choice, but by biological function. It is a complex container. Coupled with your human body is a spiritual soul, comprised of radiation from Earth's core. This soul is who you are, your permanent personality, returning lifetime after lifetime to occupy various humans in history. When your never-dying soul combines with your short lived human form, your personal lifetime is the product of that.
