My current state of FloriDUH is always in the news with reported pedaphiles and sex offenders, so I'm not surprised to see the high numbers for the state on Family Watch Dog's site here: http://www.familywatchdog.us/OffenderCountByState.asp I read a blog entry yesterday which stated that Toronto, Canada has the highest number of any city. But all that means is that someone wrote it - AND That's ALL it means! My attempts to verify it, using Google, were not successful. Anyone else wanna take a crack at it?

Okay,I just watched a thing on Oprah,not sure which city,but she listed the 3 states with the most 'known' registered sex offenders: - Michigan - Texas - California The most leniant state for sex offenders: - Vermont Keep in mind that there is really no way of knowing for sure because these are just the ones who registered.There are plenty who have not,and then even more that have never been caught or reported. It is estimated that: 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 10 boys have been molested or raped by sexual preditors.

I don't know which city has the highest number. I do know it is a good idea to keep track of the registered offenders in your city. Most states have a website where you can find the name and last known address of registered offenders.
