  • Towards the engine, would be my guess, going with the flow of air.
  • Always toward the engine. Wheher mounted in the front or behind the radiator.
  • Usually the radiator fan is in front of the radiator blowing air towards the radiator. Radiator gets heated as the coolant at high temperature from the engine passes through it. When the vehicle is moving the air coming in through the front grills cool the radiator coils which in turn cool the coolant for further circulation through the engine block. When the engine is running while the vehicle is stationary the danger of the radiator and in turn the engine getting over heated is greater. At these times only the radiator fan can help by blowing air over the radiator to dissipate the heat.
