No, European music has its roots in the ancient Greek and Roman Period. Indian music has its own music system and is entirely different because of its microtonality and notation.

Yeah but you are talking about modern Indian Classical Music. Obviously Indian classical music from the late 2nd millennium A.D cant be the mother of pre J.S Bach European music. I'm talking about Indian Music during from the Vedic Period.
