Are you fucking kidding me??? my mom was one of the reasons why I joined the army right after school. my mom always tried to care for me 20h 7 days a week. It's like a curse. Now don't get me wrong, I love my mom as parent but seeing her once or twice a year is plenty enough for me.

well men r more close to there mothers and girls to there dad Most of the time it happens :) maybe there is some biological reason behind it :)

Didn't Freud have a theory that men were always in competition with their fathers for dominance over the household and that they wanted to have a better relationship and sex with their mothers to show their true dominance? I know thats pretty screwed up but maybe there was some small truth in regards to the good relationship part in it?

I'll answer this as if the first thing that went through my head WASN'T "What the hell? Are you serious?!". For me I was close to my mum because she was so outgoing and caring with other people even while going through such a tough time herself. She had a hip problem among other things so if my family was walking somewhere I'd hang back to walk with her.

Their mothers love them, no matter what. If it weren't for their mothers, would a lot of them be where they are today? Perhaps it is their way of saying "Thank you, Mom, for being awesome!"
