  • No most will get bull shit low paying jobs or make salads in nice polaces.
  • You may get a job if you have the money to complete the courses. But, you will need to have extraordinary ability and luck to get a really good job. At least you will get more try outs and interviews with their diploma than without it. (Education and training opens the interview door to jobs.)
  • No, I dont, however, for someon that is realy interested inbeing a chef, it is a great stepping stone, if you plan on working at Red Lobster, than you just wasted your money.

  • I would say that any career that gets a lot of publicity is almost certainly going to be an overcrowded field. Nowadays it seems that everyone and their dog dreams of becoming a celebrity chef. And, of course, there will be those who will take advantage of the situation, like all these phony cooking schools that will put their students in deep debt. And I'm talking about ones with formerly good reputations, like Le Cordon Bleu. Google SF Weekly+"Burnt Chefs" to see how bad it is.
