    Pros:
They provide shade in the summer.
Fir trees provide a privacy creen from the neighbours.

    Cons:
They attract birds and squirrels and other pests.
They drop leaves that have to be raked in the fall.
They can cause costly damage if a limb falls on your house or car.

We have many and the shade on the house is the best. Also I feed the birds and so it is a nice place to have them perch and also build nests in. We have 2 HUGE Pine trees and 3 HUGE Fir trees and a couple of other trees. +5
