    A tattoo is basically a scar with pigment in it, all the laser treatment does is disperse the pigment, leaving behind the original nondescript scars caused by the process of tattooing. Personally, I would have a cover up done, basically, a darker coloured tattoo over the top of the original, this is a good solution if the subject matter is inappropriate, naked women, ex girl/boyfriends names etc. Dermal abrasion, or skin grafts might be a better option if you want to be tattoo free, but I'm *not* a doctor, anyone wanting to get rid of a tattoo should speak to a medical professional.
