  • I just wish we could punish crimes commited today!
  • If I had to be punished for everything I did as a teenager I'd never be out of trouble. Then again, since almost the entire population would also be in jail I'd have lots of company.
  • I really struggle with this especially war crimes. How does it benefit anyone to punish someone 30 or 40 years after the crime has been committed. Can't decide on that but I do think anyone who has hurt a child should be punished no matter how long after the crime has taken place. There should be no date stamp on a crime against a child. Excellent question. I will be interested in seeing the answers.

  • Yeah there's nothing I love better than when a person who has done wrong gets his in the end. War crimes are a different story , with the exception of hardcore genocide.
  • We start doing this and we will find ourselves on a slippery slope to persecution, warranted or not.
  • Depends on what you mean by long ago. One hundred years? No. Fifty years? Depends on the crime. Twenty five years? Again, it depends. To many variables really. But I do agree with CatLover about children, there should be no statute of limitations on crimes against children.
