  • Gas stations only buy what they use. They do research and find out what is needed in the local area they serve. Gas can last a year. We have a generator that had 3yr old gas sitting in it and it started up on the first try two weeks ago. If Premium isn't selling, they will not order any more shipments until it moves. And when it sells, they will order less than last time to keep a constantly moving stock. Also, more vehicles use premo than you think. In addition, vehicles using premo use more than other vehicles (less fuel efficient) and therefore they buy more. It all works out in the end. While Regular and Diesel are the staples, the other varieties have their clientele.
